Openki allows to define custom roles to support a wide range of use cases, from learning groups and courses to collaboratively organize projects like an exhibition or a community garden. You can use the same website both for self-organized groups and traditional organizing.
All the following examples are from the Openki Sandbox environment which is automatically reset regularly. Feel free to play around and try out the platform!
Group details page
The roles of group members are clearly visible in the member list. When users take responsibility by stepping into a role, they can provide a role-specific message that appears in the list, helping keep information focused.
Proposing a new group
Currently, while creating a new group, a initiator can add as many roles as they want, as demonstrated by the list of available roles in this example.
However, for real use, it’s recommended to focus on a few, most important roles to make it easy for people to participate.
